Today, farmers are looking for solutions to increase production and income. One of these solutions is the supplyink off-season crops and horticultural products. Considering the high level of okra production and consumption in Khuzestan province, this study was conducted with the aim of evaluating the economic systems of this product. In this area, okra is cultivated in three ways: okra planted under plastic, mulch and open field. Required data was collected using face-to-face questionnaire from 120 okra growers. The highest amount of net income (287.44 million Rials per hectare) was obtained in okra planted under plastic, plastic mulch (87.06) and open field (61.98) were in the next priorities respectively. The highest amount of benefit-cost ratio (3.7) was obtained in okra planted under plastic, open field (2.3) and plastic mulch (2.1) were in the next priorities respectively. The highest amount of production cost (103 million Rials per hectare) was obtained in in okra planted under plastic, plastic mulch (78.5) and open field (48.7) were in the next priorities respectively. The highest amount of mechanization cost index (10.6%) was obtained in open field, plastic mulch (6.8%) and okra planted under plastic (4.6%) were in the next priorities respectively.

Different reasons can be listed to explain long delays in milling of the harvested sugarcane in sugarcane agroindustry units: factory's downtime, failures of tractors in waiting line, accident due to crowd of tractors in yard, and shift change that creates quite long queues. To understand the dimensions of this problem, queuing theory was used in the basis of (1) to obtain a supply of sugarcane queuing system (2) to obtain a proper queuing system in the supply of sugarcane (3) to obtain a minimal cost to the queuing system in the supply of sugarcane. The research was carried out in an agroindustrial sugarcane in Khuzestan province. The required data related to arrival and service times of tractors were collected in 2016. Data analysis were performed according to the queuing models in the agroindustry unit. Based on preliminary observations, queuing system of agroindustry unit was a single channel model with one server, so this study was carried out by M/M/1 model. The results showed that average waiting time of queuing system with a single channel in servicing was 2 hours and 6 minutes, so in 60% of cases, the queue length will be longer than what servicing can respond. Calculations indicated that the costs could be minimized by increasing service levels up to 7.3%. The long queue in the queuing system can be improved by increasing service levels including: following preventive maintenance rather than corrective maintenance, using hidden factory, using spare parts, and expanding area for waiting line, accordingly

Planning for development of mechanization is one of the most important components in development of agriculture sector. Awareness about mechanization status in a region can help planners to apply the most principled planning methods to minimize regional inequalities. Cluster analysis as a planning tool enables planners to classify and interpret regions in an appropriate manner based on the existing homogeneity between them. Therefore, present study aimed to zoning of agricultural needed tractor power distribution in Khuzestan province using FCM cluster analysis. For assessment of clustering function, some assessment tools including four validation functions, coefficient of division and fuzzy division entropy and also two functions based on the concept of density within clusters and clusters separation, were used. Based on the validation results, the optimal number of clusters was obtained as 2. Degree of membership higher than 40% was considered as lower limit of counties accountability in each cluster. According to this, the number of members in cluster 1 and 2 was 16 and 18, respectively. Spatial analysis of clusters showed that northern and eastern regions of Khuzestan province are located in cluster 1 and have not good status in terms of power and are in the priority from the point of view of need to tractor power distribution. Central regions to south and some parts of eastern regions are belonged to cluster 2 and their status is relatively better for access to power.
